PLUR D stands for Peace, Love, Unity, Respect, and Diversity. It is the core, foundational ethos of the electronic dance music (EDM) and rave culture, originating in the early 1990s as a set of values promoting a safe, inclusive, and positive environment on the dance floor. It guides how community members act, interact, and share experiences.
Key Components of PLUR D:
Peace: Promoting harmony, safety, and non-violence within the scene.
Love: Fostering a welcoming, accepting, and caring atmosphere with unconditional love.
Unity: Encouraging a sense of togetherness, breaking down social barriers to create a shared community experience.
Respect: Treating everyone with dignity, regardless of differences.
Diversity: Should not be just a word. It's our Responsibility to embrace people of all colors and countries of origin, and include them as our family.
Origins and Cultural Significance:
Origin: Often attributed to DJ Frankie Bones in the early 1990s in New York, who called for this mindset to stop fighting at underground rave clubs
Kandi Culture: PLUR is often practiced through the exchange of "kandi" (beaded bracelets) during a "PLUR handshake" (a specific, multi-step greeting).
Mindset: It is a lifestyle for many, emphasizing taking care of others and bringing positive energy to events and in personal life.

Worldwide Launch on 21 st April 2026 for Sri Shankara Jayanthi
Prana Kishore, launches mega album Worldwide titled "Nirvana Dasakam - Who Are You?", is a significant spiritual production designed to bring ancient Vedic wisdom to the "Next Gen" for Ekatma, Unity with Self, and Unity with the World, through Self-Realization
The album is based on the real-life story of Sri Adhi Shankaracharya, of the 8th century, who left his mother with her blessings at 8 years old, from his home in Kaladi, Kerala, India, in search of his Guru. Sri Shankara traveled 2,000 kilometers on foot to reach Omkareshwar in Madhya Pradesh, India. His Guru, Sri Govinda Bhagavatpada, was meditating in a cave. The Narmada River was overflowing into the cave, and the water level reached till his guru’s nose. Then, suddenly, the water level kept reducing fast. Guru knew this was a miracle, and he went outside the cave to see an 8-year-old boy looking at him with both hands folded, saying Namaste. Sri Shankara knew he had found his guru.
Sri Govinda Bhagatpada asked him, “Who Are You? Sri Shankara explains in Dasa Sloki in 10 verses that he is nobody, which is the foundation of the song Nirvana Dasakam
The "Neti Neti" Technique
The most famous practical tool Sri Shankara gave is Neti Neti ("Neither this, Nor that"). Whenever you feel overwhelmed by a label—like "I am a failure," "I am tired," or "I am angry"—internally say, "Neti, Neti."
I am not the failure (that is a situation).
I am not the anger (that is a temporary emotion).
I am the observer of these things.
By consistently "negating" the temporary labels, you naturally fall back into your true, permanent state of peace.
Devotees ask Sri Shankara, " What is the One Script Everybody must know out of all your works to help our lives?
Sri Shankara replied, " Just listen, learn, and practice Nirvana Dasakam alone; that is enough in this life."
